having a rich entrance into the eternal kingdom by growing in the divine life

December 18, 2011 by aGodMan 3 Comments

having a rich entrance into the eternal kingdom by growing in the divine lifePraise the Lord for the kingdom of God, the reality of the church life! In the kingdom of God what we have is, according to Rom. 14:17, righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.

When we allow the Lord to be the King in us, to operate freely in our being, we are have righteousness towards ourselves, peace toward others, and joy with God. In other words, Christ will be our expression when we allow God to rule in His divine life in us. O, Lord, may Your kingdom come in our being!

A rich entrance into the kingdom

On the one hand, when we repent, believe into the Lord Jesus, we enter into the kingdom of God; on the other hand, we still need to have a rich entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ (see 2 Pet. 1:5-11).

Yes, through our divine birth at the moment of our regeneration we have entered into the kingdom of God, the family of God.

But now, as illustrated by the development of a child in a human family in order to have a rich entrance into that family, we also need to grow, develop, and mature in the divine life in order to have a rich entrance into the kingdom of God!

Living in the reality of the kingdom

For us to have a rich entrance into the kingdom of God we need to be those living in the reality of the kingdom of the heavens today, even right now! We, as those living under the divine dispensing of the divine Trinity, want to be living in the kingdom life in the church today so that we may develop in the divine life unto maturity. Then, we will have a rich entrance into the coming kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! In the church life today we should not live by our human life but by the divine life, even live the kingdom life in the church life today.

The Bible clearly says that if we are faithful to grow unto maturity and live the kingdom life today we will receive a reward from the Lord at His coming, but if we do not grow and develop now, we will receive a dispensational punishment.

Let us look at the reward and run forward with endurance – let us live in the reality of the kingdom today by allowing the divine life to rule and reign in us!

If today we live in our spirit, in the reality of the kingdom life, we will be rewarded by the Lord at His coming with a rich entrance into the manifestation of His kingdom! It is then that we will inherit the kingdom of God, who will be our reward.

The work of the church is to bring in the kingdom

In his book, The Glorious Church, brother Watchman Nee points out what is the work of the church. “The work of the church is to bring in the kingdom of God. All the work of the church is governed by the principle of the kingdom of God.” Why do we preach the gospel today? Why do we prophesy in the meetings? Why do we do anything in the church life? Everything we do in the church is for the bringing in of the kingdom of God. God wants to bring in His kingdom on the earth, and we as the church want are standing in Christ’s victory to bring in God’s kingdom on earth and accomplish God’s will on earth! The church is responsible to bring heaven’s will down to earth and to carry it out on the earth.

[sharing inspired from, The conclusion of the New Testament (msg. 157-158, by Witness Lee), and, The Glorious Church (by Watchman Nee), as quoted in the Holy Word for Morning Revival on, The Four Great Pillars in the Lord’s Recovery..]

Lord, may Your kingdom come in us! Be enthroned in every corner of our being! O, Lord, You are the King in us. We want to allow the divine life to rule, reign, and operate freely in us. Save us from remaining imature and undeveloped in the divine life. Grow in us, Lord, and may the divine life develop and expand in us. O, Lord, we want to grow unto maturity and be the ones who live the kingdom life today! May Your kingdom come! May Your will be done on earth as it is being done in the heavens!

The initial entry into the kingdom is regeneration, but the rich entrance is by our experiencing the full development of the divine life, a development revealed in 2 Peter 1:5-11. “For so shall be richly and bountifully supplied to you the entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” The bountiful supply we enjoy in the development of the divine life and nature will bountifully supply us a rich entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord. It will enable and qualify us to enter into the coming kingdom with all the riches of the divine life and nature as our excellent virtues unto the splendid glory of God!

We are not only enter into kingdom of God, but we are the kingdom of God.  For that to be realized, we need to grow in divine life.  O Lord, grow in me, spread in me, let Your reign be spread in every area of my life.  Amen
