eating Christ by feasting on Him with the saints in the meetings on the ground of oneness

In the Old Testament, when the people of Israel entered the good land, they could enjoy the rich produce of the land in two ways – personally and corporately.

Personally, they had a common, private way of enjoying the good land and its rich produce as a common portion for their daily living and enjoyment – at any time, in any place, and with anyone (see Deut. 12:15). Corporately, they had a special, collective way to enjoy the TOP PORTION of the good land, the firstfruits and the firstlings, together with all the other Israelites at the appointed feasts and in the unique place chosen by God (see Deut. 12:17-18).

On the one hand, the alotted portion of the good land of Canaan could be enjoyed personally or with anyone / with their family at any time, in any place – and this was indeed a rich portion, all-inclusive, supplying all the needs of God’s people.

On the other hand, God appointed some feasts and He ordained that the firstfruits and the firstlings are to be enjoyed at the feasts with the other Israelites in a place carefully chosen by God! This corporate enjoyment was much richer and more enjoyable than the personal one, and all the people of Israel had to gather at Jerusalem at the temple to celebrate and enjoy it.

In this way, the people of Israel enjoyed the good land both personally and corporately – and they were built up as God’s people to express Him on the earth!

It is the same with us believers in Christ today – Christ as our good land has been given to as, alotted to us, for us to enjoy both personally and corporately! The enjoyment of the New Testament believers is also of two aspects – the personal and the corporate aspect.

Personally, we can have a common, private enjoyment Christ at any time and at any place – every day we can enjoy the Lord as our life supply, our portion of the good land; we can enjoy the Lord at any time and anywhere!

Corporately, God ordained that we would meet and get together in the meetings of the proper church life on the unique ground of oneness – the place chosen by God – and enjoy the Top Portion of Christ with all the saints!

God has ordained that we believers meet in spirit and on the ground of oneness – and enjoy Christ together, bring the topmost portion of Christ for the building up of the church, and offer the Christ we experienced to God!

In John 4 we see that God desires worshippers who worship Him in spirit and in truthfulness, and He also has ordained that we gather with the believers and bring out our topmost enjoyment of Christ for the others to eat and enjoy!

We have weekly meetings (prayer meetings, home meetings, group meetings, truth meetings, vital group meetings, the Table Meeting, the prophesying meeting, etc), we have yearly meetings (not specifically ordained by God in the Bible, but at least several times a year it is good to get together with the saints from the surrounding regions, from the respective country, or even from around the world – for our corporate partaking of Christ!), and we have special meetings (conferences, trainings, blending meetings, blending trips, visits, etc).

Praise the Lord – we can enjoy Him personally and corporately as the good land allotted to us by God, on the unique ground of oneness! Thank You Lord for being our feast! You are our God-allotted portion for us to enjoy and feast on. How rich our Christ is. Keep us enjoying You in a personal and private way for You to be our daily food supply. Lord, how You nourish and satisfy us! You are our life and our life supply. Thank You Lord for the gatherings of the saints in the spirit and on the ground of oneness! We can bring out top portion of enjoyment, the firstfruits, to You for Your satisfaction and to the saints in the spirit and in oneness for their supply and building up!
