being those living out and working out the New Jerusalem to become and build the New Jerusalem!

As those whom the Lord has shined on to show us what the New Jerusalem is, we need to have the realization that we are living out the New Jerusalem to become the New Jerusalem and we are working out the New Jerusalem to build the New Jerusalem(1 Cor. 3:9, 12-17).

The New Jerusalem as the holy city of God is the consummation of all that God did, does, and will do – and this city needs to be both CONSUMMATED and ADORNED! As the holy city, the New Jerusalem needs to be consummated; as the Bride of the Lamb, the New Jerusalem needs to be adorned, beautified. How do we adorn and consummate the New Jerusalem? Paul says in 1 Cor. 3:9-10,

For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s cultivated land, God’s building. According to the grace of God given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid a foundation, and another builds upon it. But let each man take heed how he builds upon it… v. 12: But if anyone builds upon the foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, grass, stubble…

We are adorning the New Jerusalem by building with gold, silver, and precious stones – we adorn and consummate the New Jerusalem with God the Father as its golden base, God the Son as its pearl gates, and God the Spirit for its wall of precious stones! How do we do this? By drinking the Spirit, the flowing Triune God, as the river of water of life, and eating Christ, the overcoming Lion-Lamb, as the tree of life with its rich and fresh supply!

This matter is crucial in our service to the Lord in the Body of Christ – we need to be in fear and trembling before Him NOT TO destroy, damage, or mar God’s building! By building with anything of ourselves which is not mingled with God, we are “trying to build” with wood, grass, and stubble. These materials are not fit for God’s building, and they will BURN on the day of God’s judgement.

What we need to do is to enjoy the Triune God as the flowing river, the growing tree, and the throne in the middle of the city – and we will minister to others something of the gold nature of the Father, the Son as the pearls, and the precious stones as the work of the Spirit! Even our meekness and our own diligence in service may NOT be the Triune God but wood, grass, and stubble – and these damage and mar God’s building…

We need to adorn the divine building by coordinating with the transforming Spirit to minister the Triune God into others, perfecting them with the attributes of the Triune God so that these attributes become their human virtues for the building up of the Body of Christ! The only material fit for God’s building is the Triune God Himself in all His processes and His work. Today the New Jerusalem is still “under construction” – as we are building up the Body of Christ(the precursor of the New Jerusalem), we are building up the New Jerusalem!

This is why the Lord wants to gain the organic Body of Christ – today, the Body is the precursor of the New Jerusalem, and the reality of the Body of Christ consummates in the New Jerusalem!

As we grow in the divine life daily – by eating the tree of life and drinking the water of life – and minister the Triune God to others for their growth in the divine life, we are building up the Body of Christ to consummate the New Jerusalem!

Thank You Lord for such a high purpose and a high calling – God wants to be fully mingled and united with man in one corporate entity! Make us those who live out the New Jerusalem today that we may become the New Jerusalem! Also, we want to be those who work out the New Jerusalem today so that we may build up the New Jerusalem. Gain Your Heart’s Desire, Lord – Gain the New Jerusalem! May Your Body as the precursor of the New Jerusalem be built up today so that it may consummate in the holy city!
