Being rich toward God and with God by experiencing and enjoying the Triune God!

There are several places in the Bible, especially in the New Testament, where this expression is being mentioned – being rich toward God. In the parable/story told by the Lord in Luke 12, we see in verse 21 that even though the rich young man had everything he wanted and had stored up a lot of things for many years – he was not rich towards God!

What does it mean to be rich toward God? How can we human beings be rich toward God? In Luke 1 we see that those who come to the Lord rich will be sent away empty… But as for us, we need to be rich toward God!

On one hand, yes, we need to be a good steward of the things the Lord entrusted us with and make friends by means of the unrighteous mammon.

But on the other hand, to be rich toward God must mean that we are rich with the Triune God Himself – when we finish our course and appear before Him as those who have nothing in this age but have spent their years experiencing and accumulating as much as the processed Triune God as they can contain in their mortal body!

There are some definite indicators in the New Testament showing us that God wants to enrich us with Himself in Christ.

• 2 Cor 8:9 we see that, “though He was rich, for your sakes He became poor in order that you, because of His poverty, might become rich.”
• Phil 2:1-10 – outwardly He put away any indicator of high status, He was regarded as nothing, but – this was the process that God went through so that we may be enriched with the riches of the Triune God. Indeed, how rich the source – the Father as the fountain, and all this wealth He wants man to enjoy! O, blessed fact, this vast exhaustless portion is now for us forever to employ!
• Eph. 1:7 … according to the riches of His grace (He redeemed us and gave us forgiveness of our offenses according to the riches of His grace!)
• Eph. 1:18 … to see… what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints;
• Eph. 2:7 … the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Jesus Christ – His grace is rich toward us in Christ!;
• Eph. 3:8 … to announce the unsearchable riches of Christ as the gospel – not just the gospel, but the riches!
• Eph. 3:16-17a – that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit into the inner man,
• Phil 4:19 – my God will fill your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

There is no other way to be rich toward God – rich with God and in God – than for us to actually, continually, and increasingly experience the Triune God! What does it mean to EXPERIENCE the Triune God? Here are some implications of what to experience the Triune God is:

• To Experience the Triune God means that the Triune God becomes real, personal, and subjective to us! – beyond mere knowledge or objective revelation, He is real in us! The Father as the Fountain – a reality! Psa. 36:8 – abundantly satisfied with the fatness of His House(Christ), drink of the rivers(the Spirit), with You is the fountain of life(the Father). The Triune God has now become our all!
• To Experience the Triune God requires that the Triune God was processed and consummated for us to enjoy! He is in unapproachable light – but in His economy, out of a desire to work Himself into our being, God has been processed and consummated!
• To Experience the Triune God is in the divine dispensing through the divine transmission! God in Christ as the Spirit right now is dispensing Himself into our being and is ever looking for and perhaps causing opportunities for us to receive more dispensing! The dispensing is richer and richer as days and years go by!
• To Experience the Triune God is a matter in the divine life! We experience Him and we are “lifed” in our being!
• To Experience the Triune God is a matter in the mingled spirit! We need to be in our spirit to experience the Triune God!
• To Experience the Triune God is a Body matter – the Triune God is operating in, for, through and unto the Body of Christ!

How much we need to be rich toward God – rich in the Triune God! We need to richly and abundantly enjoy and experience the Triune God in our daily living! Lord, make us those who are rich not in anything else but toward God! We want to be rich toward God – rich in the Triune God! Save us from accumulating other things but not being rich toward God! May the Triune God be our daily experience and enjoyment! Be so real to us as the Dispensing Triune God! Life us more every day! Grow in us! Increase in our entire being! Be our experience in all Your riches day by day! Strenghten us with power according to Your riches! Make us Rich Toward God through our experience of the Triune God!
